    Hey guys,

I've owned my L502X for about a month, and have had the following issues:

When I opened up the box, and started up the computer it locked up. When I tried to restart, it went into recovery mode and I had to do a complete re-format with tech support.

The "C" key on the keyboard didn't work at all - a technician came out and replaced it. They replacement keyboard is bowed up in the center, and some of the keys make a squeaking noise when pressed. He also left a few small scratches.

Now I'm getting lock-ups, slow performance, just general glitches. System is just running like total garbage. I even got a crackling noise from the speakers, along with glitchy (not smooth) video play. Nevermind the horizontal lines with some games (The Witcher).

I have owned many other Dells without problems. Could it be that the system is just bad or something? I think that for a month of ownership, this is to many problems. I decided to return the system.

What is the best approach to return this system?

I am going to call either tomorrow or Wednesday and try to return it, I thought some of you might have some tips or pointers who have done this before.

Thanks very much for any help,

    Erick

First off I had alot of issues similar to you,so have others, that being said.Call them ASAP!Don't wait start the process now.Dell has been great for some customers,a nightmare for others, bottom line you paid for a new laptop it should work as one.I would not waste anymore time with 3rd party techs and support reps who just keep throwing part after part at you.I had to call a Dell premium resolution specialist and still had problems (not the only one) Good luck, if you need I have a corporate vp direct ext and his email. He finaly resolved my issue. When this laptop is good it's a great machine!

I have had my XPS 15 since April and last week Dell had a tech come out and replace my hard drive. My computer is still slow. Can't even watch a YouTube video. I called tech support again on Sunday and they told me they can replace the motherboard. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they are sending me out a new system. Dell's support site has a 3rd party tool that scans your computer for issues. Before my hard drive replacement my system scan was "poor". After the new hard drive the system scan results was "fair". I told the supervisor that I didn't pay this kind of money for a new computer for it to be running fair. He didn't argue with me at all.
