Does the upgrade from 120GB 5400RPM to 160GB 7200RPM
Worth 115$?

IMO, yes, get it. You will have better performance (not very noticable, but its there). Or, you can always buy the 5400RPM drive, and then upgrade it to a 7200RPM later.
-
yes it is . -
Its between 2-4 millisecond faster responstime on the 7200, rather than the 5400 according to dell. But you can always upgrade later if you find that the 5400 is not fast enough for you, this can also be a cheaper option.

That's a good price for the 160GB 7200 RPM upgrade - you'd be hard pressed to find that same drive for that price from somewhere else. I'd say go for it.
One advantage though to buying one yourself and installing it is that you can drop the 120 into an external enclosure and use it as a backup drive, so that's a consideration as well. -
yeah..i was thinking the same thing
then dell home had the drive on sale for $120 shipped, then it got delayed i got and $42 refunded upon arrival, so i ended up paying $78 for it AND it'll go on my 3yr warrenty, moral of the story, its too much..because now i've saved $35 AND i have the 120gb to stick in my ps3 or something
but ya the 160 7200 = perfect choice =) -
my problem that in my country 160GB 7200RPM HD will cost around 200$ at least, thats way i'm ordering from Hong Kong...
So i'm thinking buying the best i can afford and finish with spending money for now...
Before i order the m1330
