    Hello

I received my dell xps 15 l502x on monday and I am very pleased with it. However after a day of heavy use today I decided to play Company of Heroes on battery power. After 1 1/2 hours the battery was getting low so i plugged it in to continue playing.

However when i plugged it in both battery lights started flashing orange and white, the battery meter said "plugged in not charging" and the dell battery meter said "battery charging disabled" and "battery is on temporary failure state". It went away and started charging after 10 more mins of gameplay but ive just reproduced it by playing another game on battery until it gets low and then plugging it in.

Is there something wrong with the battery or is it just the battery getting too hot or something? The battery doesnt feel hot although the laptop is. The laptop and battery are brand new and have been used heavily over the last 2 days. Is something broken? Any help appreciated.

By the way if i unlpug it again the battery lights stop flashing and dell battery meter says "battery is performing normally".

    Thanks

    Jim

Can't really help you, but that happened to me as well on my XPS 14, but I didn't notice my battery was low until the computer tried to go to sleep (playing a game). Plugged it in quickly and I got the quick flashing white & orange lights. I restarted it and it went away.
