    Hi friends,

Many of you may know the software called Badaboom that converts videos using the CUDA technology of Nvidia graphics card. Please share your experience with Badaboom and how fast were you able to convert videos.

I used 700MB Hangover video for conversion and it converted to iPod classic format at 365fps average on Dell XPS 17 L702X (view sig)

    Let's hear your scores :)

Maybe is better to use IntelĀ® Quick Sync than CUDA for video conversion :

    IntelĀ® Quick Sync Video

look that Badaboom can use Quick Sync.

Quick Sync>>>>CUDA for conversion...CUDA was really meant for other uses.

Nice.. I didn't know abt Quick Sync, thanks for sharing.

So what's the actual purpose of CUDA? BTW it does convert videos very fast though.

CUDA is meant more for simulation type applications at least as far as I've seen. The quadro cards have crap loads of CUDA cores for this reason. They are also useful in gaming. Yes, they will boost video encoding, but that's mainly due to just having a little extra horsepower available.

At least as I understand it. My understanding is limited. Please someone correct me if you know better.
