    BIOS help

    hay guys
    i got a new dell xps M1530 in bios vertion 09

    but every time i boot up my laptop, it takes about 40 seconds to finish biose screen


    what i should do to avoide that?

    Hmm. So the BIOS screen hangs for approx 40 secs? You should maybe back up your data and flash the BIOS. Alternatively, check your BIOS settings and make sure everything is normal. :)

    Start the computer, at first screen press F12,

    It should show you a list of options, select bios,

    you then go into the bios, go down the menu untiil the catagory POST behaviour, select it,

    then select fast boot, This should be set to minimal, if its not set it to minimal,

    then save,

    then exit, and see if that sorts it.

    still problem remaining :confused:

    Gadzooks. So it's always been this way? Complain to Dell. Don't worry about messing with it if it's still covered by their policy. :cool:
