    Hi every one,
I have a XPS1530 and connecting it to my TV through HDMI.
Every time, I connect it. It have to go to Control Panel and set HDMI sound as default. BTW, I am using Vista.
Is there any possible way that I can change it to automatic switch?
Please let me know if you have a solution for that.
    Thank you.

There is no solution, only manual switching is supported.

When I play a movie using PowerDVD via HDMI, the sound goes to the TV without me having to do anything. Or is that not what we are talking about?

The StudioXPS uses a different Soundcard to the M1530

So it may be possible on the Studio XPS 16, but is definately not possible on the M1530 :(
