    I have a xps m1530 with t9300 8600m gt
and 3gb ram. I recently got assassins creed and played on the lappy with all high settings. Now it was with the charger on and as soon as i remove the charger the fps just droped and was not playable at all. This happend in other games like gta sa, crysis etc
Is it normal?? Any setting tweak to stop it the fps drops when games are played on battery power?

Actually, it's a bug in the more recent driver versions (they shouldn't automatically go into powersaving mode on battery, only when idle/doing less). The only driver I've found to not do this (while retaining working Powermizer) is 174.16 available over at laptopvideo2go. Also run in High Performance mode.
