    Guys,
    I have this issue...

    I have a Dell XPS 15z.

    Here are my specs:

    • Intel® Core™ i7-2640M
    • Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-Bit, English
    • 1080P WLED Display
    • 8GB3 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
    • 750GB4 SATA hard drive (7200RPM)
    • NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 525M 2GB graphics with Optimus

    My problem is this.

When I'm running the computer on battery (no AC plugged), the Windows Aero is not working. I see all the windows on Basic mode.

    To be clear...

Any ideas how to make windows works on Aero on battery? Or even the pseudo-aero... where there is NO transparency... but the minimize, restore and close are like the Aero.

Thanks for your comments and ideas.

I just realize that the Dell battery manager was my problem.

I had turned on the " Dell Extended Battery Life". So, I've found the solution to my previous question.

Simply change your theme to any of the available aero themes and you're good.

No! Even with an Aero theme selected, if you have the "Dell Extended Battery Life" turned ON... the Aero doesn't work.

You have to turn off the "Dell Extended Battery Life" to enable the Aero and loose the Basic themes.

Oh I thought it would change that way but the extended battery life forces aero to stay off then. but if you need battery life you can simply go to configuracion i desactivar 'windows 7 basic theme' i los otros opciones quedan activados para mejorar la duracion de la bateria.
