WTF, even my Pentium 4 Compaq (3.0ghz) is smoother than this. Whenever I'm using the Brush Tool or Erase Tool in Adobe Fireworks CS3, the cursor is so laggy on the canvas. Anyody experiencing this in Adobe Fireworks? Or even in any other image editing softwares?

Here's the vid to see what I'm talking about: http://www.hanime.net/m1530.wmv

Sadly, CS3 is sometimes laggy for me. But I don't know why, but I would agree with Kossel...maybe switch to CS2.

CS3 seems to hate a lot of computers. It's not exactly the best of the CS line performance-wise.

    Would drivers help?

The 175.80 drivers are getting rave reviews, and I dont studder in my 3d games anymore with them.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll give CS2 a try and see if that's the case. :)

    It's a problem with Aero...

    Courtesy of http://joolz.nl/2008/05/29/vista-aero-fireworks-cs3/ :

    • Open up your applications shortcut property dialog, by right clicking and selecting properties.
    • On the compatibility tab, tick the box in front of “Disable desktop composition”.
    • Click apply, and OK to close the dialog.

Try checking if your CPU/GPU is running on the right clocks...
