    Hey All,

I'm currently at a loss. In early 2010, I purchased a Dell Adamo XPS. I loved and cherished the machine, but in November 2011, the male end of my charger broke.

I called Dell, and looked everywhere on the internet, but I was unable to find a replacement. Apparently, this was customized for the Adamo XPS. Since the Adamo XPS was discontinued, so was the charger. No universal chargers will work on it.

I decided it was time to change computers anyways, so I sent my laptop to my parents for my little sister to use if they could find a charger. Last week, Dell finally responded and sent us a replacement Adamo XPS charger.

They sent us a charger that was a car charger for the laptop.

It also came with this adapter, but I don't know the use for it.

I happened to be visiting home this weekend, so I grabbed an AC/DC converter. Once I plugged in the laptop, I get this message.

I'm able to bypass the message to login to my computer, but I cannot unplug the charger. I'm unsure if the issue is the low voltage on this charger or if it's a battery issue (I do have an extra battery, but I left it back where I currently live. I can't test this till I mail it to my parents when I head back to where I live now).
