I'm looking for advice on accessories for my M1730. Yes this should probably be in the Hardware forum, but y'all give me a much better response than in there =-(
Basically, I'm planning on buying the Nvidia 3D Vision bundle.I plan on having my laptop closed and in some sort of dock, using an external keyboard and mouse, while gaming in 3D.
What I'm looking for suggestions for are:
1) XPS M1730 Laptop dock (If there is any to fit this beast...)
2) A gaming keyboard (Razer Tarantula...)
And some testimonials of people using either of these.
The Razer Tarantula is ALMOST perfect, except the backlighting is confusing me =-P Does it have a changeable backlight, or does it simply depend on which one you get?
I have the copperhead, and mine is blue lighting. I've noticed other people have red, and I know THAT'S not changeable.
I want the Tarantula if I can get it in blue to go with my copperhead =-P If not I'll be looking at other keyboards, preferably with changeable backlights and quick response times.
As for the dock, is it even possible? I'd be afraid of it possibly suffocating, or simply being too big for any mainstream docks. Advice on this would be helpful =-)

As for a stand, I highly suggest looking at the Logitech Alto Cordless... I originally picked this up for my M1710 but 'The Beast' fits perfectly. It is very sturdy despite Logitech specs stating 15" lappie only. I use it daily and it travels with me on occasion fitting nicely into the XPS M1730 Dell backpack.
The Alto Cordless includes a wireless full size keyboard and wireless mouse. I use rechargable AA batts and it performs great in the way of gaming.
When 'The Beast' is sitting on the Alto, it is propped up at a near 45 angle which provides perfect airflow (no cooler pad needed). Temps remain quite stable and I have yet to exceed max 75c while gaming (T9300 CPU not x9000 and 8800M GTX running in SLI). You could leave the lid closed and it still will be ok for airflow if you are planning on using another display. It also includes a built-in, externally powered USB hub.
