Before my loan for school goes threw I would like to know what I want.

I know I'm getting the max CPU, and Max Ram. I have a few questions.

    1) I want to know the quaility differnce in the webcams. the VGA vs. the 2MP Cam. Can a few people post pictures from each? I'll be mainly using it on Stickam.com as I will be doing a few talk shows I've don in the past on it and use on msn, yahoo, aim ect.

    2) Is the 2.0MP worth choosing CCFL over an LED Display? and what should I get as I have two webcams that are 4-5MP each.

    3) If 4GB of ram is choosen will dell shipp an 64Bit version of Vista?

    4) How are the henges? As my Inspiron 6000s display is above to fall off the laptop  and I am not paying 200 bucks or so to have it repaired.
    5) Anyone have good frame rate for World of warcraft on this rig?

    Thanks :D

I can answer number 2 for you: GET THE LED!! I have personally seen both the LED and CCFL screens (I have LED, friend has CCFL) and the LED is soooo much thinner and looks soooo much brighter and better. If you are buying this laptop for the portability of it, you will definitely want the LED screen. And I have been fairly impressed by the webcam on it the LED also.

Dell doesn't ship 64bit OS with consumer laptops, period.

I have the CCFL and I like my screen personally. a 2mp is nice to have being that you can take bigger pictures vs a vga camera with the LED....heck it's still bright with the CCFL.....I have no complaints...but it weighs less with the LED...to me it's a preference. Don't expect hardcore gaming on this laptop, WoW will do fine, I have CoH on high settings with AA off and it's playable :) About 64 bit Vista I have no idea.

it'd be MUCH cheaper for you to upgrade the RAM yourself instead of buying it from Dell. I don't think that Dell will give you the 64 bit version (that is if they have it) just because you bought 4GB of RAM from them.

I've got the the CCFL screen and don't regret it at all. Sure it is a little thicker, but it no way affects the portability of the laptop.

get the smallest amount of ram and upgrade urself, also u cannot start with 1gb and upgrade "a year down the road" cuz it runs like crap in vista. thanks bill.
