Does the fan run often when running on battery power under a light load, web browsing email, etc?

What is the average battery uptime of the 6 cell and 9 cell battery?

Have the most recently built units eliminated the high pitch whine noise?

    1. When on battery and light usage, I switch to power saver mode. Fan rarely ever comes on.
    2. With my 6 cell on power saver with screen brightness cranked up, at least 3 hours.
    3. Not mine. Maybe on the previous motherboard revisions from last year.
