    Hello

Does anyone know if I can install 8 GB of RAM in my M1330? I now have 4 GB, but when upgrading to 64-bit I'd also like to add some memory.

I bought the computer in August 2008, and have the latest bios.

I think 800 MHz is the max speed I can use, does anyone know about any modules that will fit, if possible?

    Thanks
    -SB

Yes it will work but only for certain BIOS's. I think it was A13, do a quick forum search.

800mhz RAM will just downclock to 667mhz. That is the maximum speed the centrino 1 platform can do.

It should work with 8GB RAM, with the A13 or A15 bios, not the A14, for some reason... No need to buy 800MHz memory-modules as your system doesn't support a higher frequency than 667MHz. Also, if you've already got 4GB, well I'm not the one to say, but I think 8GB on a laptop is overkill... On the plus side, upgrading to 64-bit alone will give you an extra ~800 MB of RAM as it is.

Well, Vista can could load a lot more into SuperFetch, so more applications should load faster.
