    Hello,

I have owned a 9-cell battery for about 15-16 months now, and I have noticed that my battery has degraded greatly. I used to be able to get around 4-5 hours on my battery, and now it's up to 2-3 hours. I have a XPS m1530, and I have been moving quite a bit with the laptop. I usually get the battery level to 50% 3-4 times every week, and maybe all the way down to 30% once a month from normal usage. Let's be generous and say that makes a total of 300 recharge cycles, equating to around 20% loss. However, looking at the last full charge numbers :

    -Last full : 4992 mAh
    -Design : 7800 mAh

My battery now only hold around 54% of it's original capacity, almost half. It is certainly not suffcient. I just would like to know if that is normal, or if I need to do something about this. I'm pretty sure Dell would not replace the battery, I might consider buying something to replace this 2 year old laptop.

    Thanks
