have you changed the stock heat sink and fan on the processor and nvidia chip? if so, how?

im quite interested in doing the same, but just looking for a slim line hs&f to fit into a laptop..

ps, sorry i dont have 3dmark scores yet. will post results when i do.

I've just recently bought an m1530 as I got one on a relatively good deal so finally plumped for one!

    My specs are:

    T8300
    4GB ram
    320Gb 7200rpm HD
Stock cooling except for 9cell battery.

My running temps have been pretty good under load & idle, was a bit worried with a lot of people talking about highish temps!.

I've been doing a few 3dmark benchies using the Basic edition (i'm assuming the stock settings are the same run in this case?) running at 1280 x 800. I have formatted with Vista and running forceware 179.28.

Complete stock settings I got 4868

I have bumped up the clock speeds to the same as benched in this thread 675/ 1350 / 900 ( haven't tried full clocking) and got 6349!

not sure if you can see from the screeny but temps are:
    cpu max 60c
    gpu 75c

    been quite impressed so far!!!

thats good :D are you using vista 32 or 64 bit? and does harddrive speed have anything to do with a higher score?

ooh cool! I haven't really had anything to compare to know if good or not.....well I'm just using Vista 32bit atm. I dont think the hard drive speed has anything to do with the results, but I maybe wrong I wouldn't have thought so!

I did another test last night and pushed to 700 / 1400 / 925, and got 6506. I darent go any more heh. no display probs at all, and temps were good

    cpu 61c max
    gpu 76x max
