Starting a thread on the XPS 17 with your config, video clock settings and 3Mark06 score.

Going to use the default resolution of the program, 1280x800.

The goal is to see how far we can push the clock speeds on the video cards. It will also give others a chance to overclock their video cards w/o alot of testing.

    Specs:
    i7-740, 16GB Ram, 445m

    Video Clock Speed: Default
    3DMark06 Score: 10,788

I'll update my post as I try differnt video card speeds, etc.. I hope others post here with their results as well!

The OP's score looks pretty normal. His/her score is a bit lower (600pts) than yours might be a result of using Dell driver. Using nvidia driver many times get higher scores but at the same time higher temperatures as well

Default clocks for 3DMark06 are 1280x1024. It defaults to 1280x800 on your laptop because the 900p screen isn't capable of the default resolution. If you want to be able to compare your XPS17s with each other, then x800 is fine. However, if you want to be able to compare them to other systems, you'll need to connect them to an external monitor and run 1280x1024.
