    2 different part number on the same Part

    so. at last I bought a brand new Y504R motherboard (Ati 4670) to my Dell SXPS 1640 on Ebay.UK.....(going to replace my Ati 3670) :)

    the part number i got from the Swedish Dell support was Y504R............but then i found same motherboard (Ati 4670) here on Notebook review (5150Joker thread) who was Y536R.

    both motherboarden is with ati 4670 for SXPS 1640.......is it common that DELL have 2 different part number on same Part ???????

    Hi. Sorry about the confusion with the motherboard part number. It is quite common for a part to have different parts numbers. It could be because of the batch in which it was received at Dell and the warehouse where it was stored and things like that.
