Just downloaded and installed 18KFanGUI, and it isn't showing my GPU temp.

I read something about it not displaying GPU temp if you upgrade/downgrade your BIOS? I've upgraded to A11... is there something I need to do to have my GPU temp displayed?

I am assuming this works on the m1330's...

Also, do you guys use it to change fan behavior, or basically just to check temps?

    Thanks for any/all help.....

Try HWMonitor to see if it shows up your GPU temp. That may give an idication of where the problem is.

If you learn to read before you download, it states it DOES NOT support the XPS line.

    Thanks

I now figured out that I needed to turn on the GPU sensor on 18kFan, and it's now working.

what's strange is, 18kFan shows my GPU temp at around 55 C and HWMonitor (which I've been using for a few days) shows it at 80 C!

So, which one is correct? (That's quite a spread....... )

    Thanks

Well, since 18kFanGUI isnt fully compatable on the XPS line, its probably giving the wrong reading. I would trust HWMonitors reading

Thanks ahl395, I downloaded GPU-z and it seems to match HWMonitor.

Oh, and X2P, thanks for your help. I'm going to get right on that.

I had a 23C difference, but your 25C difference is even worse. For some reason no one seemed to believe me, so it's nice to have some validation.

I was able to get the GPU temperature corrected by tweaking some of the settings in the options -- changing the internal sensor options as described in --> this thread <-- and then adding 10C to the offset temperature. But I couldn't get the CPU temperature to stay correct. Within a second or two it would revert to the previous too-low temperature. No matter if I added 5C, 10C, 20C, etc, it would always change back to the same too-low temperature. So I got i8kfangui working for the GPU only, not CPU.
