Was on a sales call with our Dell Federal rep and was told that Dell will only be offering SLI on Alien laptop's past the 1730... I have heard that Dell was looking to get rid of the "Gaming Dell/xps" and push that business to a struggling AlienWare but never had anyone at Dell confirm. Don't know if this is "REAL" or not since this same rep told us a year ago bogus info about the some of our Blade Server's.

Does anyone else have any info on this or it it still just Rumor?

I for one have no interest in going through AlienWare -- I still have nightmares from dealing with that company years ago with M51's..... talk about an impossible company to deal with. We ended up ordering 70 of these for a client at the time and it took nearly 1/2 year to get them all delivered. Every time I called it felt like I was stepping back into "OLD CUBA" - talking to guys who were not suited for the line of work they had been PLUCKED into.

Very bad decision if true Alienware is so unreliable and if this is the case, my allegiance my shift to a clevo rebrand when im looking for a successor to my XPS M1730.

That should be well in the future.
The 8800M GTX SLI plays any game out there at the highest details.
Playing Far Cry2 at very high at 1920x1200 and still cannot believe it :D
