This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    the keyboards backlit : )

    that's the only thing I can say about it

    are the lights purple?

    Yeh, looks like it. Pretty glad i ordered a 1700 now. Apparently nicknamed 'The Beast'. :)

    yeah I'm getting a 1720.

    I wanted a backlit keyboard in a dell ... but That thing is damned ugly ... couldn't help it ...

    Hi guys

    Actually it's just a poor photo; the colour scheme is the same 'carbon fibre' as the service manual photos. Still, at least we get to see the backlit keyboard and gaming LCD.
