I just got a 1647. The default resolution (920 x 1080) is way to high making everything way too small. Lower resolutions make the screen blurry (1600 x 900) but at about the size I want things. What can I do to resolve this issue?

Also, does anyone remember what the screen size was of the 1530? It was 15.4 right? And the 1647 default is 15.6? This looks a lot bigger. To get the size you measure diagonally across the screen right?

Adjust the DPI to make things readable. Go to Control Panel, Display, then click on 125% or 150% based on your tastes.

The 15.4" was 16:10, the 15.6" is 16:9. Although it's not that much larger, it is much wider, which is what you're perceiving.

So I have no other options in terms of a program or perhaps a new drivers to tweak things a bit more? I take it that it's ideal to keep it at the highest resolution?

The option of making text bigger doesn't seem to be applying to the internet, so I have to keep zooming on or using an add-on, which can clutter the text depending on which website.

make a custom *.inf for your monitor or screen to enable the resolution you want.

May I ask, what is *.inf

I don't understand why screens become blurry when you keep the aspect ratio but lower the resolution, because this doesn't affect the look in game.

    Somebody explain pls and thanks.

DPI scaling in Windows 7 and zooming in in your browser (ctrl++) will work with every application and website that is worth a damn.

I don't use it but supposedly IE8 the best of the best browser for automatically setting the text to your preferred size all the time.

I too am curious when the screen becomes blurry when the resolution is lowered bu the aspect ratio is kept the same.

If I could get 1600 x 900 to not be blurry I would be set.

When I use zoom, it can mess up the text depending on websites. Sometimes it cuts the text off and other times it brings links that are side by side too close together or on top of each other.

So to summarize zooming on websites comes with its own problems. Changing the resolution does as well.

    Any other options?
