    Hi all,

After considering the sxps 16 I am just about to order a 1530 but am not sure what is the best screen option here in the UK (UK does not offer LED). These are my options:

    • 15.4" Widescreen™ WXGA (1280x800) TFT Display (220nits) with TrueLife™ [Included in Price]
    • 15.4" UltraSharp™ Widescreen WSXGA+ (1680x1050) TFT Display with TrueLife™ [add £90.00 or £3/month1]
    • 15.4" Widescreen WUXGA (1920x1200) TFT Display with TrueLife™ [add £130.00 or £4/month1]

I will be using the laptop for design and occasional video editing & games.

I think the 1920*1200 will cause eye strain but what do you guys think?

the second one is good, 1920x1200 is quite high for that size

I have the second one, its brilliant. My flatmate has the Studio 15 with the WUXGA screen, its just too small to be a viable option in my opinion.

I have a 1680x1050, and it's great. I have a hard time fitting a lot of apps on the screen at once though, so I would go for a 1920x1200 personally. But I've never seen WUXGA on a 15.4" in real life though...

I tried using Photoshop on a WUXGA and found I didn't really gain anything from the additional space apart from a headache. Thats probably me just being old though!

I use my lappy for lots of programming, so a WUXGA was just *too* small for reading text and stuff... and before you say that I could increase the size of the fonts - what would be the point in getting a WUXGA screen in the first place if I just had to make everything bigger?
