    Hi everybody ,

My bios version is A08 and my GPU temp when playing Need for speed in middle graphic hits 89 c.

-Does updating the bios to new version decrase the temp?
-Which version has the most stable performance and hit the lowest temp?
-Is updating the bios a dangerous job?
-Is it a step by step manual to update?

    Thanks

--- YES! Updating to the Latest BIOS somewhat solves the heating problem XPS M13/1530 laptops..... it starts at Bios v.A09.....but the Latest A12 makes the job even better (better fan speed optimization)

---- A09 will be the lowest....albeit you might be annoyed by the fan kicking up at high speed frequently. A12 optmized between noise and fan speed. Just for the kicker, try A09.....try running games then look at your temps (Use Hwmonitor at cpuid.com) Then update to A12 and compare the temps. (you can downgrade your bios version safely anyway).

--- Updating the BIOS is safe.... just make sure you're battery is plugged in and also your power adapter just in case there will be power interruption. Itz a quick process anyway. :)

--- you just download the bios from dell support site, run the app, the instructions are there..... mostly semi-automatic. :) you'll see the new bios version below the XPS logo at bootup after restarting from a successful flash.
