I have noticed these lines just to the left of the webcam on the monitor bezel on my 1330. I think it has to do with the touchpad and there not being enough spacing between the monitor and the palm rest when closed. Have any of you tried to contact Dell and request a new monitor bezel to remove the scratch?

They will probably assume its regular wear which doesnt apply to the warranty terms. You can try anyway.

Protect it with clear tape for now or something.

It is from the touchpad. I got it before, and when their repair depot scratched my lid, they replaced both the lid and bezel. Shortly after, the marks are coming back. I don't see the value in replacing it.

You could prevent the marks from appears by adding spacers to your palm rest. By spacers I mean those bubble things you put on desks/shelves for closing it and preventing the wood parts smashing into each other. So if I get a new bezel, it will be clean and will remain clean :)

Or you could place a microfiber cloth in between the keyboard and screen. This is common among lots of thin laptops.
