    Hello all,

I'm interested in other people's experiences on how well Ubuntu performs on Chromebooks. Specifically, if it suffers from such things as not having as much RAM as a traditional PC (though some models come with 4 Gb RAM), CPU being slow and/or having few cores, etc. The main things that attract me to a Chromebook are low cost, long battery life, and small size (12" screen on the Acer C720, though that obviously varies with model).

If you're wondering, the specific model I have in mind is the Acer C720, for no other reason than I have seen it mentioned a lot on the web as being a good machine; but I'll listen to anyone's honest input.

    Thanks in advance.
