Hi, I was wondering if that new HP 11 Chromebook (installing Ubuntu) would be worth it for just casual video-streaming and word processing. I figured to install Ubuntu as well just in case I need to use the device with no WiFi (ie my school has horrible WiFi sometimes).

The biggest thing that would concern me is the mini-USB charging. How efficient is that battery to say compared to the Samsung's version of the Chromebook?

Would it be a safer bet to get the Samsung one instead for $30 cheaper?

Battery charging shouldn't be too inefficient, since the battery isn't too large on the HP 11. And yes, the chromebook is great for casual streaming/document composition.
