Hey guys, I have a buddy at work that has a Chromebook Pixel he is trying to get rid of, and he said he could sell it to me for $700.

It's in like new condition, and I am very tempted.

However, I could pick up a 2011 or 2012 Macbook Air for that price too, as I am searching for something thin and light to carry around campus with me.

I already have a desktop, so it's not like this would be my main computer. I am just tempted to try the chromebook. I have also never had a chromebook before.

Are you familiar with linux? if so, it'll probably be a good option as you can simply install linux alongside Chrome OS. Otherwise, probably the MBA.

I honestly think the Pixel is a useless laptop and utterly hindered by the OS. You could get a PC for cheaper and just as functional as the Pixel.
