    Google extends End of Life updates for some Chromebooks

    Back in September 2019, Google extended the End of Life [EOL] updates for 8 ChromeOS devices.

    • Lenovo N23 Yoga Chromebook
    • Lenovo 300e Chromebook
    • Lenovo 300e Chromebook 2nd Gen MTK
    • Lenovo Ideapad S330 Chromebook
    • Lenovo Ideapad C330 Chromebook
    • Poin2 Chromebook 14

    EOL is the date a chromebook is scheduled to stop receiving further operating system updates.

    And now Google has extended the support timeline for 135 additional Chrome OS devices. (source Liliputing)

    Compare the previous and new EOL dates over at Android Police, or head over to the Auto Update Policy and see when yours will stop receiving updates.

    Most devices picked up 6-12 more months of service updates.

    Been thinking about getting a Chromebook. They're way better than when they were introduced.

    True, and if you get one that has Crostini support, you can run Linux applications inside of chrome os.
