just noticed on androidcentral that dell has released a new chrome book for us older users. Understated looks, great features for 599.00.

So it's basically LULU (Dell Chromebook 7310) v2? Not bad. i3-8130U is a bummer though, considering you can get a Windows laptop with i5-8250U for about the same price. Sure 2-in-1s with Wacom pen support would cost more, but you don't need to pay for Windows license with a Chromebook.

With popularity comes a cost I guess. I have an account with dell, so it makes the most sense for me to buy dell. Even though the pixelbook is down right sexy!

Prices are going up with models that have more mainstream components instead of low power Celerons/Pentium/ARM etc. There's really no "discount" for having Chrome OS so I don't know why you'd expect the same hardware to be cheaper just because of the OS.
Chromebooks from the start have been targeted towards lower end segments, with a few notable exceptions, but now there are more mainstream offerings so expect more mainstream prices. This shows that the Chromebook market is maturing and ready to expand further.toughasnails, Primes and kojack like this.
