When ever i play a game now the GPU starts graphics freez for about 0.5 seg every 10 sec. This is really odd, and when it does it the fan sounds louder.

Can anyone help me with this?

Its likely the gpu fan is completely clogged. I would not trust the read on that util you are using. Get a paperclip. Bend the tip like a hook. Stick that in (laptop off). Try to snatch some of that nasy gunk behind the radiator. Be careful not to scrape the fins on the radiator. Get a can of compressed air if that is the case and use it to aid you in your quest. For the future. Do not run your laptop 24/7. Its not good for it especially the fans and heatsinks. Contact your vendor for a cleaning. This is a warranty issue.

Ofcourse the other possibility is that its a driver issue. As i always say the base driver in the asus driver cd is the best and only driver you should be using. Reinstalling over your existing driver will not always fix the issue. Formatting will. Its not my fav approach but "reinsall windows" unfortunately is the method of choise becuase any joe can screw up their pc by messing with drivers, clocking utils and whatever else people like to load on their pc. I have to take my own advice once every year as it seems.

Geared 2 Play thanks for your help.

I alwaise use stock drivers... I think it might be a dust problem... Can you please be a little more specific on how to do the cleaning process?
