    Hi,

    I have an x555ln laptop.

My problem is the system does not boot unless I got into BIOS. After I got into BIOS, I only need to restart BIOS then system boots like normal.
Another interesting thing is in first boot, sata configuration shows there is a hard disk but does not know its model. In second boot everything is normal.

    First boot:

    Second boot:

This happened after Windows 10 install.(But It is not a bootloader problem)

    Thanks.

Is this cold boot only or does it apply to reboots as well?

Have you tried physically re-seating the drive?

I didn't. I had that in my mind. The thing is I was worried it may affect warranty. I talked to ASUS. They said something like that won't affect warranty. I will try that.

Yes I checked it was under the main hatch and easy to access, it's pretty much designed for users to be able to access the storage so be careful, re-seat the drive and see if that helps.

It does never hurt to check though :)
