Well widescreen dvd movies will be the same exact size (because you have the same width). You'll get an extra 1.5" to the top with the V6...... great for a lot of things. I've taking both models to show many people and side by side while the desktop background is up in a normal room...... most people can't even really tell the difference color wise.

I always say..... when picking between the two..... decide which type and which ratio screen you prefer. If you don't have a choice, it's time to close you eye and spin around and pick whichever one you land on.

yeah thats basically what I had to do.
Both laptops are great, but I cohse the v6 because of the higher resolution screen and the non-glossy type since i will most likely be outside sometimes in the sun doing schoolwork, and the scren would be very hard to read if its glaretype.

Makasin - you've got a V6v so you can tell me what you think...... but personally, I've used both and used both outside during the brightess of summer days and I actually find the higher brightness of the colorshine screen (on the w3v) to washout less than the V6v....... so basically I could use the W3 outside better than the V6v... That goes against popular opinion, but most people making that opinion are assuming a "glaretype" screen is going to create glare outside........ not totally true.

Well, don't worry.. as long as it's working for you that's all that matters........ most people who haven't seen it would probably think I was crazy saying what I did about using them outside.... but I have the luxury of having all of the laptops and the time to do these tests.....
