    Look through the forum before asking questions.

    Neither are coming to the states....... the W3V will be coming in about a month. It's a sonoma based W3, however instead of integrated video, Asus appears to be ordering one with dedicated video. Most likely the ATI x600. Specs and price aren't final yet because as of Tuesday morning, Asus still hasn't even ordered them yet.

    About the same time..... as of 2pm on 2/15... Asus' product manager hasn't ordered any of the new notebooks (w5/W3/V6) ... he's expected to do so sometime this week.

    All of them should arive around the same time..

    @PROPortable:
    Do you have any info when W5 will be released in the US?

    (sorry if I should've started a new thread, I searched the forum but didn't get a lot of info about W5, most of the info was about W3)

    Hmm... something about the W5 just bothers me. I guess I'm just not a huge fan of that rotating camera...

    It takes some getting used to... but let me tell you this.

    The whole system is wider and shorter than the M5.... looking at it in pictures, that camera looks weird..... in person it'll grow on you.

    A W3 model will be coming, but not the "N" version.. that has the 855 chipset and "outdated" hardware...

    The "A" model is a sonoma 915 chipset but with integrated video.

    The "V" model is sonoma 915 chipset but with X600 ATI graphics.

    No problem.. it'll be soon enough. Once we have final spec and price, we should have a good ETA and also know what our allotment is... Usually out of the first shipment it would be about 50 units, but I'm hoping for more as a good 30 of you have contacted me just from this forum all basically saying..... regardless of spec, eta or price... i want this unit. So, with a month or more to wait, I hope we'll be aloud to buy more.
