I do not have a w3j yet so I do not know some things so bare with me.

My only suspicion is drivers. Check for newer mouse / touchpad drivers. (maybe they came with the laptop in CD form, or most likely online. check it out)

Next to answer your second question, if you go to My Computer --> Control Panel --> Mouse --> pointer Options tab --> mouse speed changes the sensitivity.

Check if enhance pointer precision is on, that might be your problem (do the opposite of what it is currently set as)

Otherwise, it could be faulty hardware, although I doubt it.

although i am out of ideas, i was wondering. How do you right click with 1 button?

Is it a ctrl+click? (Cause thats really annoying)

Before you send in the unit for repairs I'd try flashing the BIOS http://support.asus.com. You'd be surprised what they fix in those sub 1MB downloads.

It isn't one button. One side is left click, one side is right click (like a seesaw).
