Curious about the heat of the new w3j and if any of you owners can check with NHC or any other methods how hot the thing goes when idle, idle after say 2-3 hrs of being on, and when under 100% load. Also wondering on the noise. Does the fan stay on all the time and is this thing noisy? If you were in a library with your w3j, under normal web surfing conditions, would your lappy sound like the guy two tables down w/ his Qosmio doing a raid in WoW ? :D

i believe 2 members of the forum who have the W3J have stated that heat is a factor, but a small one. the vent on the right side blows out hot air, similar to the W3V and there is a small hot spot located on the right hand side somewhere probably above the HD, but it doesn't really get hot enough past a reasonable amount considering the power that is packed into the fairly small body of the W3J.

Yea I figured that as well since it really is a pretty portable lappy. I was curious about the actual temp #s though. Wondering how it fairs with other laptops in the market that I'm currently looking at w/ similar configurations.

CPU idle : 52 (no fans) -> couple of minutes -> 62 (fans start for a moment) -> 52, fans off and so on. But even with fans laptop is quiet, the "loud" fans turn on only during really heavy gaming.
