    Hi all,

I know this question has floated around a bit but I'm not sure what to do about the heat from v6va. Right now, asus probe reads the cpu temps at 74 c. and the fan at 3500 rpm. And i'm only using the internet. I expect the right palm rest to get warm but is this cpu temp too high? How to remedy this?

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you are sure you are only on the internet, and there is nothing in the background running, I would be slightly concerned. Your computer isn't getting ruined, but that would suggest that the cooling system either isn't working or that there is something running that you don't know about it. I know its slightly different, but at idle my processor on a V6j runs at 40 C, your 34 C higher, so check for processor use, and check that your cooling system is working properly.
