    Hello all,

I am going to purchase an Asus 1000 with the 1gb and 40gb hd. I was wondering how easy it is to install additional memory? And if it is easy, is there a link with instructions? And any type of laptop memory or are there a few you would suggest.

I am buying off newegg so if I can get extra memory from there too it would be much easier for shipping.

    Thank you so much,
    Jon :D

    Welcome to the forum!

As I recall the steps are basically you remove the battery, unscrew the panel/lower chassis, pop out the RAM, pop in new RAM, reassemble and turn the machine back on.

You need buy DDR2 and match the frequency of the original installed RAM, but otherwise that's it :).
