Hi everyone. I'm happily a new owner of the U6SG. AMAZING! there's is one thing that disheartens me at the moment. When I'm on battery power the performance takes a hit. I just found this out this earlier when I was surfing the web.

I found out that Blizzard announced Diablo 3 (YES! FINALLY) and I hit up their site. The flash intro was very laggy and the graphical features on the site were also snailish. That can't be right. There's a 9300M under the hood. I decided to plug in my laptop and I loaded the site quickly.

Is there a way I can change the settings so that the laptop runs normally under battery conditions? I can't seem to find it.

Which battery were you using? Did you use the U6 in Office Mode/ High Performance or Battery mode?(Fn+space) My U6Sg used to change power profiles automatically to Battery/Office while on the 6 cell or the 3 cell.

I'm using the 3 cell battery. I changed it to performance mode yet it's still slow. Is there a way I can change it so that it's always on one mode regardless of battery or ac powered?

We all have problems with the 3cell. With the 3 cell it downclocks very badly and Vista barely runs. Mine downclocked at around 1.1 at it was like a 486. Use the 6 cell and play with the power options to modify how the laptop behaves.

You are welcome. Apparently the 3 CELL has an idiotic problem on this platform. Montevina will not have this bug. I found out about this bug a week after I bought it.
