There seems to be a problem resuming from stand by with my new u6vc. I don't think it is an isolated incident since the screen remains black/dark if I keep the laptop stand by. Any idea what is up?

Yeah.... i know - that worked for me all the time... increase brightness after resuming from windows will bring back the screen.

Anyhow, if that didn't work, then try install another graphics driver (preferably, a newer driver from laptopvideo2go.

most of the 18x _desktop_ drivers from lv2g dont work with laptop sleep. i think only 182.05/6 have been reported as working.

    182.06 or 179.48.
(if you can trade working sleep for a few more 3dmarks, then stick with 185.20)

with 18x drivers most likely. 185.20 doesn't come out of sleep on mine.

i just connected the laptop to an external monitor. all the colors seem really washed out on it (previously connecting with z70v it was perfect no complaints).

I don't know how to adjust the options to make it look "normal" though...
