I've got an M5N (i.e. matte screen). Pretty hard to use it outside, if it's the least bit sunny. Anything I can do to the settings, colour etc to help? Any accessories to shade the screen that really work?

Plus of course all the aluminium - specially the touch pad - gets very hot, and so do the keys, palm rest, and so on! That's probalby typcial of most laptops I suppose. Wonder if the other types of screen are better or worse?

For the most part you will find that laptops are failry hard to se outside in direct sunlight. No surprise there. The s5a gets warm. 90C is hott. It should not reach nowhere near that temperature. Keep in mind you need to keep the vent hole open. If you cover it by resting the laptop on your lap you will heat it up alot more then suposed to :)

The glaretype screens, as I've said before as actually best to use outside and the only ones that you can actually still see whats on the screen......... matte type displays wash out more...

I'm sure you can buy a big sun cover.... or use a towel... not the prettiest look, but it'll work.

    Thanks,
    Justin
