hate to create yet another thread, but the one that i've created doesn't seem to get a lot of answers (probably cuz it's in a less popular forum). so im pasting the link here and hope that u guys can help out.

basically my g1 at times refuses to hibernate, telling me that the g1's in low memory... but it already has 2gb ram, a LOT of free HD space left (at least 50% on both C and D drive), and a LOT (2gb-4gb) of virtual memory... wot gives?

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=101695 thanks! :D

Rather than start another G1 hibernation thread I thought I would add on here if Lord Farkward doesn't mind.

I have my G1 set to hibernate when the battery power gets low but it doesn't say "Yo, your battery is getting low, plug in!". I'll be in the middle of something and it just goes into hibernation.

Anyone know how I can get it to give a warning so I can catch it before it hibernates?

Usually there is a warning from the bottom right toolbar, warningyour battery life. Is that a one time thing?

I have the battery icon down there. This morning I noticed the battery level was getting low and as I was moving the cursor down there to check the level it went into hibernation, no warning popup.

I think this problem also goes away using a program called a memory defragmenter.

I dont know what the hotfix does actually but it fixes it

the symptom of the problem is that you hibernate and before it happens it just stops, and then your hibernate button disapears.
