The new laptops have fans that are running almost all the time. I have the same issue with my F8VA-C1. I need to wait for around 8-10 min. in the idle mode and than the fun shuts off. Even if I do web surfing, the fan is active all the time...

As already said, new notebooks have hot internal components. Therefore, the fans need to run to actively cool them down. That's the price to pay for performance... you can't help it.

I would guess those who don't have the problem, are actually not bothered by the fan, whereas it still runs.

    yeah EBE is right

i have an Asus U6sg-a1, with core 2 duo t8100, 3gb ram, nvidia 9300m g, and even using it with the battery in saving battery mode, the fan is running all he time, but if you want a quiet pc buy the acer aspire one, ore asus u1, very slim thin and quiet notebooks
