Hi, I tried to update my nvidia drivers by going to nvidia.com but they recommend downloading and installing the drivers from Asus.com

Now how do I know what my current driver version is and whether the driver version at asus.com is the new and updated one or the old one?

    Any idea?

    Hi KingDude,
Welcome to the forum, here is the solution for your question:
There is a several different ways to see your driver number, but the easiest one is to - right click on your desktop => select Nvidia Control Panel => select Advanced => when the window with the CP opens in the left bottom part click on System information => in the opened window you will see the driver version.
    For updating the driver:

    - go to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista find the driver number you want and download it.
Just remember to remove your old driver using Driver Sweeper.

the latest video driver from Asus is 179.14 which to be honest with you, it is really stable and gives great performance for me. I play cod4 and cod World at war and this is one of the best drivers for me on my g50vt-x1.

You have to try different drivers and see what works best for your games, im currently trying 181.0 and it is also working pretty well.

All i can do is point you to laptopvideo2go.com or the asus support/ download site and you have to work and finding which one is best for you.
