    g50v-b1 touchpad help

    my finger hits mode on the touch pad all too often, any way to disable it from going into mode? Love the computer so far other than this annoyance.

    Go to page 42 of your manual or download it from asus. Says go to control panel>mouse properties>device settings.

    I dont see a option to turn MODE off

    Do you have your manual? If not check out support.asus.com and follow the download links to get your manual online. You also have a lot of updates and such on the site.

    Page 42 is about the optical drive. Maybe you misunderstood me, i dont want it OFF I just dont want the "mode" part to work when I hit it, can u tell me how?

    I apologize. I assumed the manual that is listed online was the same as what you have. I downloaded the manual and went to the part that seemed relavent. I deleted it this morning. It should be in the section about your touch pad. If not they often update the manuals online, so I would check there.

    Just incase this problem is driving anyone else crazy, to disable the mode on the touchpad thats easy to accidently hit you go to mouse settings in control panel and click on the "tapping" section of the software.

    There it has 4 corner tapping ON. Turn that to OFF and no longer will that irritating mode pop on all the time.
