im able to OC my g50 2.26 to 2.8 with no issues, has anyone had any luck with the AUto Start tool? It causes my machine to reboot, its not sending the correct calls to setfsb.

Not a solution to this problem but id like to comment. I wouldnt leave it overclocked all the time unless your always doing something intensive.

Its a shame i dont think the direct console can be set to overclock for certain programs, that would be a useful feature. Had that on my pda over and underclocked depending on what application was running.

Leaving a machine OCed is usually fine. And yes its a shame the util they provided is not hackable. Anyone else?

as a update, I've found you can add start up switches which work for most pp, ive had no luck yet.... Anyone else want to try?

    -w[00-99] : Wait [sec] default=10sec
    -s[000-999] : Set FSB [MHz]
    -i[00-99] : Increment [MHz] default=max
    -u[0-1] : 0(default)=normal , 1=ultra
    -b[0-1] : 0(default)=normal , 1=background
    -p[000-999] : PCI-E [MHz] default=non
