Ok I can t stand it anymore, this is driving me nut!
The HD of my G1s is ALWAYS working, even if i m doing nothing and it s idle for 30 mins. The HD makes a lot of noise, as if i was degragmenting it or uninstaling northon (so it s A LOT of noise)
Now it s worst than ever.
I always have around 60 processes in the background, and it uses about 40-50% of the physical memory...

I really need some help here...

The noise level of disks depends on the brand and the rotation speed. The most silent ones are those by Western Digital and Samsung.

Have you set up Power Options? The program Notebook Hardware Control also can help a little bit.

Vista likes to mess around while you're not doing anything. Shadow files, defragging, indexing, the works. If you don't like it, you can always turn off the services.

Yes, Vista does a lot of things. You can check my Optimize Vista guide (see signature) to get it to behave in a more civil manner. In my thread you will find a link to Flamenko's Top Vista Tweaks where you will find extensive information on how to turn off unwanted services in Vista.
