i used to have the internet hotkey set to bring up firefox when i pressed it, but after shutting it down and restarting it, it now gives me an error of "can't get environment variable"

what does this refer to and how can i change/fix this problem?

Something is wrong in the settings for the hotkey.

You can try applying again the same steps that you did before in order to set the button to start Firefox.

I think the internet key on the G1S only opens the default browser.
So if you have Firefox setup as the default browser, the button should automatically open Firefox, if not then you'll have IE open up because it'll be your default.

I don't think there is a need to specify the location of the program which is what you have done i think? Which is giving you this error?
