I'm trying to play GTA IV and I think that something is wrong.
In the options its written 275/239 resource usage in red. What does that mean?
I know that some G1s owners can play gta iv quite well, but with mine, i can't even change graphic setting, including the resolution which is stuck at 800x600!

    Any idea?
Btw, my g1s seems really bad lately.

    Perhaps your GPU is failing?

I think so... my 3d mark score is 2800, was 3900 last time I did it. I tried to switch the driver and it doesn't work. Any suggestion?

Because i already saw a scoredrop with 1000 here and the gpu was faulty and he did an RMA (and got G1Sn back)

    I'd say RMA it.

ya I used the default settings as always.
I'm trying to call them but hell, their french speaking representatives are always busy goddammit, maybe they don t have any after all lol.
My english is really bad, so maybe you guys can help me; what do i tell them?
That I think my GPU is faulty because of my 3dmark score and sucky perfomance and overheating?

I had similar problems, I solved them by creating a file in my GTA:IV installation folder named "commandline.txt" and typed the following to allow me to change the settings.
    Code:
    -nomemrestrict -norestrictions
This will allow you to change the settings as you like.

The 8600M GT GDDR3 in the Asus G1S has 256mb of memory; which is lower than the memory that GTA:IV thinks the video card must have for basic settings, so GTA:IV restricts one from making the settings more demanding.
