    does the Asu N56VZ-S4035V have a back lit keyboard?

    Fn F4 should turn it on Fn F3 to turn off if you have that feature. (The specs on ASUS's site do not mention though. If you are running a "clean install" you will need ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities from here: ASUS - Notebooks- ASUS N56VZ -- Select OS then Utilities.

    thanks have driver installed just don't think this particular model has a back lit keyboard any of the asus Reps know ??

    As JOSEA said, there will be icons on the F3 and F4 keys on the keyboard. If it has a keyboard backlight, it should automatically come on by default when you turn on the computer and boot windows, unless you did a fresh install and are missing drivers.
